Birthdays, Gill Learner

PoetryPosted by editor Wed, August 18, 2010 18:38:12
Reflections on and reactions to Birthdays.

Gill Learner grew up in Birmingham, moved to London then Reading where she lives now. Poetry grabbed her in 2001 since when she’s been published widely and also been read on Radio 3 and BBC South Today. In 2008 she won the Poetry Society's Hamish Canham Prize. Her first collection, The agister's experiment, will appear from Two Rivers Press in Autumn 2010.
She loves reading to an audience and goes to hear other poets read whenever possible, particularly at Reading’s Poets’ Café where she had a guest spot in May 2007. For more information visit www.poetrypf.co.uk/gilllearnerpage.html
