Reflections on and reaction to Giuseppe, Get Your Gun, by Joe Urso.

In describing himself, perhaps writing his own epitaph would be the most truthful, and concise: He was 51. He spent most of his adult life cleaning restaurants and bars during the day which gave him the freedom to write at night. He was in love with the same woman for 39 years. Though never married and often apart, they were devoted to each other.
